So we decided to try some 3v3 action last night. The team makeup was myself, a Warlock and a Paladin. We did amazingly well. We started off with a 1410 rating and I think we ended up around 1511. Not too bad for a bunch of noobs. After an hour and a half of 0 wait times, we ended up with a 8 and 2 record.
There were a few teams we just didn't get organized for, and of course they just wiped the floor with us. I seem to remember they had a disc/holy priest on their team and for whatever reason we didn't put enough pressure on the Priest. I think in that case I should have whipped out the Mana Burn button and just leeched everything I could. Good to keep in mind in the future.
There also was another situation where each team had 4 dead, me being alive at 30% health vs a Rogue who was at 100% health. I popped my healthstone, feared him, DoTted him up and started to melt his face. He pulled the Cloak of Shadows trick, which I just re-DoTted him up and feared him again. I don't know if it was just luck or something on his behalf, but he had just hit sprint when I feared him so he managed to run out of range. He then proceeded to try to run around a pillar to cause me line of sight issues and you should have heard me on vent. By that time I was back to full health (gotta love Vampiric Embrace) but without having LoS on him, I couldn't get to face melting him. Eventually my DoTs caught up to him and we won but boy, that sure was frustrating, trying to chase that moron around the pillar.

Arena Take Two
So we went back in to the arenas last night and boy, what a difference! We went from being a 1 and 9 team to being a 10 and 3 team. There were a couple teams that just tore us up, but for the most part we just kicked some pure ass. It was pwnage! There was one team that had three druids and a couple of other classes. When the dust settled, there was Shav with 5 killing blows.
There was one other encounter that really sticks out for me. I'm not sure how it happened, but each team had four members dead, so there was just me and a Rogue. I'm sure you're thinking "But Shav, you're just a squishy cloth wearing priest! A Rogue wears leather, has a lot of agility and will just stab you in the face!!". Fear not my friends, or wait, maybe have a little fear for the Rogue. I managed to fear him, DoT him up (and again after he used cloak of shadows), then proceeded to do what Shadow Priests do best: Melt Faces. I was in the zone! I can't remember what was being said on Vent at the time, but all I can remember doing is fearing, running, DoTting my heart out and Mind Flaying to keep facing the Rogue. There was no way I was going to let him see my back! I remembered that I had a health stone, used that and then realized that I was completely out of mana! He had a full compliment of DoTs, so all I did was outrun him for a bit, fear him a couple times and let my DoTs do their work. End result? Dead Rogue, triumphant No QQ.

Fresh Blogs for Everyone
Hello People.
I thought I'd start this blog to diary my PvP experiences in the Shadowburn battlegroup. I'm a Shadow Priest residing on the Malfurion server in a small PvP guild named No Quarter.
I've been playing World of Warcraft since open Beta, way back in September (I think?) of 2004. I created an Undead Priest. I remember then, the good old days, when my racial spell - shackle Undead - actually worked against Undead player characters. I also remember when the Undead didn't breathe and could walk freely under water. Ah those were the days.
Now, one expansion pack later, Paladins are now Horde characters too and can out heal any holy Priest with faster, more efficient heals, Druids have better Heal over Times (HoTs) and Priests just aren't as useful in a raid as they used to be.
I have spent hours inside the older 40 man raids, like Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Naxxramas, hours inside the new 10 and 25 man raid areas just to find that its pretty much the same old thing, boss after boss, repair bill after repair bill and little to no gratification out of it. Sure it was nice seeing some new content here and there, but character development is important too.
After watching yet another guild implode due to personality conflicts, drama and all round stupidity, I have decided to stick with my friends and go all out for Player vs Player combat and "win fabulous prizes". So we resurrected the guild No Quarter - as we thought the name would go perfectly with PvP - and hit the battlegrounds and the arena encounters.
Tuesday of this week concluded week one of the No Quarter 5v5 arena team "No QQ" and we got our asses handed to us. Over and over and over again. Our first rating for our 'uber' group was 1375. It wasn't fun, but we learned an important lesson: Organization, a plan and some gear are important. Well, maybe that's more than just one lesson all rolled in to one.
Luckily for us, this past weekend was an Alterac Valley bonus honor weekend and did we ever hit the battlegrounds. I think in total our guild managed to reap in well over 260k worth of honor. I myself managed a shade over 43k honor. Not bad. I bought an epic ring, an epic cloak, epic bracers and an epic belt with all the honor I had saved up.
